Steve Rock, Owner & President
Steve Rock leads Rock Grading as its President and Visionary, channeling a dynamic career and a passion for purpose into a company built to last and lead. His career began in investment banking and evolved across industries—from marine engines and boats at Brunswick Corporation to pediatric nutrition with Mead Johnson, where he led international partnerships and global M&A initiatives. Known for blending strategic insight with hands-on leadership, Steve combines financial acumen, marketing savvy, and operational know-how to shape Rock Grading into a bold, solutions-driven force in the industry.
Steve earned an undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University and later earned his MBA from Duke’s Fuqua School of Business. A walk-on turned scholarship athlete, he made his mark on Vanderbilt’s football program as a two-time Most Outstanding Special Teams Player and six-time “Big Stick” award winner. Raised in South Florida, Steve met his wife Dana in high school, and together they’re raising three amazing kids while building a business that reflects their shared values and vision for excellence. He’s also an active member of the Raleigh-Durham chapter of Entrepreneurs Organization (EO) and serves on Duke University’s Triangle Alumni Board.
